Dedicated to enriching the lives of participating individuals through equine assisted activities .

Since 2009, Macon TRACS has served individuals with the following disabilities: Cerebral Palsy, Autism, ADD, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome, Developmental Delay/ Cognitive Delay, Learning Disabilities, PTSD, Mental Retardation, Deafness, Visual Impairment, Stroke, Brain Injuries, Muscular Dystrophy, and Multiple Sclerosis.

Riders with physical disabilities often show improvement in flexibility, balance, muscle strength and speech because horseback riding gently and rhythmically moves the rider’s body in a manner similar to a human gait, engaging core muscles.

For people with mental or emotional disabilities, the unique relationship formed with the horse can lead to increased confidence, patience, self-esteem and improved social skills. Learning can take place all while enjoying recreational riding.
